frequently asked questions
What are the differences in print methods?
This is a cost effective print method for small quantities and those on a budget. I use laser printing to ensure a high quality output on a variety of paper stocks.
This type of printing is used for larger runs with lots of detail in the design (photos, small type, etc.). The inked image is transferred from a plate to rubber blanket, then onto paper. The results are crisp and colour matching is extremely accurate.
A traditional form of printing, letterpress designs are created on metal or plastic plates which are pressed down into the paper, leaving a deep impression. Letterpress is perfect for single or 2 colour jobs on thick cotton stock. Edge colouring is an option too.
A very popular option for wedding stationery, foil stamping is the application of metallic foil onto paper by the application of a heated metal die that permanently adheres to the surface. Combined with offset full colour printing, the results are stunning.
How many invitations do I need to order?
It is important to have an accurate headcount before ordering to ensure that you have enough invitations. Consider each guest household address rather than the overall number when verifying numbers. For example, if you invite 2 people from one household, only 1 invitation is required.
I always recommend ordering 5-10 extras for last minute guests, invites that get lost in the mail, and keepsakes for yourself.
When do I start sending things out?
Save The Dates - 4-6 months from wedding date | Invitations - 1.5-2 months from wedding date | Thank You's - up to 1 month after honeymoon
I'd like to use my own wording
Of course! All of the pre-designed stationery suites are completely customizable to include your wording as you see fit. For example, want to forego the RSVP? We can include a line at the bottom of the invitation to RSVP via email instead.
Once you place your order, you will be prompted to fill out a wording form. Don't have your wording ready yet? Not a problem, I can email you later for the details.
Need help with wording? I am happy to offer my assistance with the formalities.
How do i address my stationery?
There is an option for envelope addressing (both for return and recipient addresses) in the online shop. Cost for a return address is $1.00 per and $1.50 per recipient address. *Subject to envelope type as not all can be printed
